This workshop aims to introduce you to the basics of the Sanskrit language in a live and interactive class format which is suitable for beginners with no prior knowledge of Sanskrit. You can start learning Sanskrit in an easy-to-understand way right from your home under the guidance of an expert faculty.

Sharvari is a visiting faculty teaching Vedanta Philosophy at Mumbai University. She has a Masters degree in Sanskrit specializing in Vedanta from the University of Mumbai, India. She even has a Diploma and Bachelors degree in Sanskrit where she was one of the toppers of her course. With an overall teaching experience of 7 years, she has taught Sanskrit to a wide range of students from various cultural backgrounds.

सुभाषितम् (subhāṣitam) - Understanding a simple Sanskrit shloka
This workshop will introduce you to the basics of the Sanskrit language. You will get an idea about what exactly the sentence structure of Sanskrit is and will be able to make short meaningful sentences on your own.
Once you confirm your participation by paying the fee for the workshop, you will be added to a WhatsApp group where all the details will be communicated. One day before we start the classes, there will be an orientation session on Zoom where we will tell you in detail about accessing workshop resource materials, joining the classes, accessing recorded sessions, etc.
The classes will be conducted on the Zoom Meetings app/software.
This is a one-week workshop. The classes will happen from Monday to Friday - all five days of the week. The start date and class schedule are given above on this page.
At the end of each session, we will be allocating some time for doubt solving.

The medium of instruction is English. We will be starting separate workshop batches for Hindi and Marathi as mediums of instruction.
On the last day of the workshop, we will send you a list of reference books that you can buy and details of our advanced level workshops/courses.
