Intellect Yoga for Critical Thinking : Live Interactive Program

(Formerly Know As Critical Thinking & Vedānta)

● Dive deep into a framework that illuminates the dynamics of critical thinking. Learn how the science of Yoga empowers you to master this vital capacity to shape your world view, sharpen your judgment and dramatically improve your decision making.

We all wish the world was a more rational, sensible, and harmonious place. Every day, 24/7, we are bombarded with data, images, videos, articles, opinions, lectures, narratives, and analyses, making it increasingly crucial to battle misinformation. Over time, we are unable to separate the noise from the signal because we mentally anchor a point-of-view based on our inherent mental model while ceasing to actively apply our core intellect. This anchoring is reflected in our world view and our vital life decisions.

We become anchored to prejudices and biases, developing strong opinions yet weak convictions. All the while believing our minds are free and that we are making thoughtful choices. When, in fact, we are making sub-optimal decisions. The missing piece in our thought process is the ancient practice of Intellect Yoga.

What is Critical Thinking?

Intellect Yoga Institute defines Critical thinking as the `the intellectual process that helps a human progress toward the objective truth’. This objective truth lies beyond the veil of our ego and mental turbulence. For us to fulfill that higher and more impactful potential within us, we need to move from the position of `prove I am right’ or ‘my perception is reality’ to `understanding the true nature of things and reality’ which is beyond personal limitations.
This journey unlocks excellence in decision making and judgment across all facets of Life. In turn, leading to dramatic personal growth and achievement.

The key question is: How does one develop critical thinking?

The core principles of Intellect Yoga, distilled into a practical formula, enable us to be aware of our thought process at a much deeper level. This empowers us to introspect and recognize the source and quality of our own thoughts, views, opinions, and judgments. We suddenly develop insights and discover dimensions that we didn’t know existed. We start to cut through the stale clutter with a fresh clarity of thought.

The value that participants got from this program...

My current role calls for coaching senior leadership on critical thinking and this program gave me new thinking directions.

- Vetrivel Janakiraman, Director at an MNC
Knowledge was presented from ancient texts and well-adapted to contemporary situations including the Vedanta formula for critical thinking, and aspects that one needs to watch out for on the road to develop critical thinking. Explanation given was excellent!

- Sangeetha Chakravarti, Mentor
It completely opened a new dimension of thought process. Everybody talks about `thinking’ but nobody tells how. This was the very first session in which I understood how one must start thinking.

- Tejal Pawar, Student
The program was an eye opener - especially the details on Ahamkara and Manas and how we can critically think through these two is most useful for me.

- Anushree Nagaraj, Counselor, Coach and Trainer
The presenter has transmitted to me the need to be a better listener. Learned a better thinking process when a decision must be taken. Also in some way it has increased my self- awareness. Now I am more aware of the others' thinking background when they express an opinion.

- Armel Boueyguet, France
Every investigative litigation is an exercise in critical thinking. In fact, this program can be delivered in law schools as well!

- Aswin Prabhu, Practicing Lawyer, India
Rate the program 5/5 on all parameters.

- Dr. Sayeda Jowena Dewan, PhD Scholar
Great program, enjoyed every minute of the session!

- Naveen Sarawgi, MD of an Automobile Firm
The session was very crisp and very clear. Overall it was very informative and thought provoking.
