Sanskrit is spoken as well as written
Sanskrit is spoken as well as a written language.

Even in earlier days Sanskrit was a spoken language.

The Vedas have ‘Samvaad Sukta' (conversational stories) and other words which they were using in day to day life. Which have shown Sanskrit as the language of communication among people.

As the writing technology developed, Sanskrit language texts and scriptures were written in Brahmi, Devanagari, Sharada, Saraswati and in many other scripts.

Use of Sanskrit has been declined in later years and middle ages.
