You Have Long Wished to Understand the Scriptures
As They Were Meant to Be Read

Sanskrit is the language in which the Bhagavad Gita was spoken, the Vedas were revealed, and the Upanishads were composed. For thousands of years, this sacred tongue carried the undiluted wisdom of our civilisation. Yet most of us can only access it through translations - which, however good, can never fully capture the depth, rhythm and nuance of the original.

This workshop is your first step toward changing that. In just 5 days, you will begin to hear, understand and feel the Sanskrit language - not as an academic exercise, but as a living connection to your heritage.

The earnestness of Sharvariji, the dynamic and interactive manner of teaching and their passion for Sanskrit made these 5 days enriching and made me want to continue learning more. These online classes are usually so cold and matter of fact - but this one is just so impressive and heartfelt. Dhanayavadah, Punaha Milaamaha!

I really can't believe it. I am a non-Hindi native, but I was still able to catch up with the lesson plan completely. I believe it is only possible because of the pictorial lessons with the step-by-step approach. Truly remarkable teaching.

Sanskritam is truly a magnificent language - Devabhasha, the language of the gods, and the root of many Indian languages. Learning Sanskrit reconnects us with our epics, heritage and the wisdom of our civilisation. This workshop is the most beautiful first step.

Why Not Just Use YouTube or an App?

There are free Sanskrit videos online. There are apps. There are textbooks that have sat on shelves for years. If those had worked for you, you would not be reading this. Here is what makes this workshop genuinely different.

Other Options
YouTube videos move at their own pace - you can't ask questions when you get confused
Language learning apps treat Sanskrit learning casually to modern conversation - no connection to scripture or tradition
Textbooks assume prior linguistics background & start with grammar directly - overwhelming for beginners
Generic teachers with no specialisation in Vedanta or scriptural Sanskrit
No structured progression - you never know where you stand
This Workshop
Live, interactive Zoom sessions - your doubts are answered in real time, not days later
Designed specifically for those drawn to the Bhagavad Gita, Vedas and Upanishads - for serious learners
Pictorial, intuitive teaching method that has worked for complete beginners from age 9 to 83
Faculty with a Masters in Sanskrit specialising in Vedanta from the University of Mumbai
Daily quizzes + structured 5-day curriculum with a clear milestone: your first real Sanskrit shloka
“Very interesting and engaging workshop. In a short time, learned a lot. Teaching method is simple and effective. Open Pathshala is doing great work. Many congratulations to the team.”
