मम प्रियः खगः मयूरः। तस्य वर्णःनीलः। सःअतीवसुन्दरःसरसःच।तस्यकण्ठःउन्नतः,नीलवर्णःच।तस्यशिरेशोभनाचुडाअस्ति।परन्तुतस्यचरणौकुरुपौलम्बौच।मयुरस्यपिच्छकलापःबहुःमनोहरःतथादीर्घःच।तस्यपिच्छेनीलवर्णः,हरितवर्णः,पीतवर्णःएतेवर्णाःसन्ति।यदावर्षाकालेमेघाःगर्जन्तितदासःआनन्देनकेकाकरोतिनृत्यतिच।मयूरःअरण्येनिवसति।सःधान्यकणान्कीटकसर्पादीन्चखादति।सःसरस्वत्याःवाहनम्अस्ति।मयूरःभारतस्यराष्ट्रीयःखगःअस्ति।

mama priyaḥ khagaḥ mayūraḥ। tasya varṇaḥ nīlaḥ। saḥ atīva sundaraḥ sarasaḥ ca। tasya kaṇṭhaḥ unnataḥ, nīlavarṇaḥ ca । tasya śire śobhanā cuḍā asti। parantu tasya caraṇau kurupau lambau ca। mayurasya picchakalāpaḥ bahuḥ manoharaḥ tathā dīrghaḥ ca। tasya picche nīlavarṇaḥ, haritavarṇaḥ, pītavarṇaḥ ete varṇāḥ santi। yadā varṣākāle meghāḥ garjanti tadā saḥ ānandena kekā karoti nṛtyati ca। mayūraḥ araṇye nivasati। saḥ dhānyakaṇān kīṭakasarpādīn ca khādati। saḥ sarasvatyāḥ vāhanam asti। mayūraḥ bhāratasya rāṣṭrīyaḥ khagaḥ asti।

My Favourite Bird

My favourite bird is Peacock. He is blue in colour. He is beautiful and powerful. His neck is high and blue. There is a beautiful/decorative crest on his head. But his legs are long and ugly. Peacock's plumage is very attractive or charming as well as big. There are blue, green, yellow etc. Colours in his plumage. When the clouds thunder in the rainy season, the peacock cry with a joy and dances. Peacock lives in forest. He eats cereals, insects, snakes etc. Peacock is a vehicle of goddess Saraswati. Peacock is a national bird of India.
