नमः सूर्याय शान्ताय सर्वरोगनिवारिणे |
आयुरारोग्यमैश्वर्यं देहि देव जगत्पते ||

सूर्यः स्वयंप्रकाशितंनक्षत्रम्अस्तिसूर्यःतेजस्वीतथागोलाकारःपदार्थःसूर्यःभारतीयानांप्राचीनादेवतासूर्यस्यप्रथमंवर्णनंऋग्वेदेअस्ति।‘सूर्यःगगनस्य अलङ्कारःसःवैभवसम्पन्नःनृपःतस्यरथः सुवर्णमयःरथस्यसप्तअश्वाः,अरूणः सारथिःसूर्यःविश्वस्यनिर्माणंकृतवान्सूर्यःसर्वेषांव्याधीन्हरति|‘ इतिसूर्यस्यवर्णनंऋग्वेदेअस्तिवस्तुतःसूर्यःतु अन्तरिक्षस्थः तप्तवायूनांतेजोगोलकःसःस्वयंप्रकाशतेसूर्यस्यउदयः प्रातःकालेपूर्वदिशितथाअस्तःसायङ्कालेपश्चिमदिशिभवतिसूर्यःअस्मभ्यंप्रकाशम् उष्णतांददाति|भानुः,रविः, आदित्यः,भास्करः,दिनकरः,प्रभाकरः,मित्रःइत्यादीनितस्यअन्यानिनामधेयानि|

sūryaḥ।

namaḥ sūryāya śāntāya sarvaroganivāriṇe |
āyurārogyamaiśvaryaṁ dehi deva jagatpate ||

sūryaḥ svayaṃprakāśitaṃ nakṣatram asti। sūryaḥ tejasvī tathā golākāraḥ padārthaḥ। sūryaḥ bhāratīyānāṃ prācīnā devatā। sūryasya prathamaṃ varṇanaṃ ṛgvede asti। ‘sūryaḥ gaganasya alaṅkāraḥ। saḥ vaibhavasampannaḥ nṛpaḥ। tasya rathaḥ suvarṇamayaḥ। rathasya sapta aśvāḥ, arūṇaḥ ca sārathiḥ। sūryaḥ viśvasya nirmāṇaṃ kṛtavān। sūryaḥ sarveṣāṃ vyādhīn harati।‘ iti sūryasya varṇanaṃ ṛgvede asti। vastutaḥ sūryaḥ tu antarikṣasthaḥ taptavāyūnāṃ tejogolakaḥ। saḥ svayaṃ prakāśate। sūryasya udayaḥ prātaḥkāle pūrvadiśi tathā astaḥ sāyaṅkāle paścimadiśi bhavati। sūryaḥ asmabhyaṃ prakāśam uṣṇatāṃ ca dadāti। bhānuḥ, raviḥ, ādityaḥ, bhāskaraḥ, dinakaraḥ, prabhākaraḥ, mitraḥ ityādīni tasya anyāni nāmadheyāni।

Sun- Mantra:- Oh! Lord Surya, ruler of the universe, you are the remover of all diseases, the repository of peace. I bow to you and please bless your devotees with long life, health, and wealth. The sun is a self-illuminated constellation. The sun is bright and round substance. The sun is the ancient god of Hindu. The first description of the sun is in the Rig Veda. ‘The sun is an ornament of the sky. He is a glorious king. The Chariot of the sun is like gold.
